Thoughts for the Earthquake victims..

As it grows dark tonight we are thinking of the Christchurch earthquake victims. As more and more stories are told and pictures come in we realize just how bad it is.
At least the weather was good today, but forecasts say bad weather is coming.
WE send our loving wishes to all...

I'm thinking of Catherine , (Stillstandingonher head...blog.)
KitchenMaid and family were visiting Wellington, staying on the 14th floor of a hotel..woke to a good shaking too.

  1. We are OK - about to post photos on my blog, not of the central city where things are quite bad but of the relatively undamaged neighbourhood around my home.

  4. Halfway around the world, I let out a sigh of relief. That was a really nasty earthquake. New Zealand is in our thoughts and prayers!

  6. Thankful Caterine and Paul are OK M. Thank you Kitty for caring. Welcome Friko. WE are so lucky to live in a country with good building codes that mean our houses can stand a bit of a shake up! Whe one thinks it was as big an eartkquake as Haiti.. and how they are still suffering.

  7. Catherine emailed my this morning, they had only minor damage done but were still without water or toilet facilities and they were still having aftershocks when she wrote; she said it was terrifying. They shift on Wednesday if all goes well and roads are ok.
